Taking Part

How to take part online

It's absolutely crucial that everyone can take part in the CRIF and the Citizenscape is an essential (online) part of that.

We use Citizenscape to allow people to talk about CRIF wherever they like on the web - on a blog, on Twitter and in other ways - but still be able to take part in a single, online conversation.

So...

If you use Twitter... you can simply add the hashtag #crifcambs to a tweet and it will appear on the Citizenscape.

If you use a blog... when you post if you add a tag 'Crifcambs' and inform us, we can create a feed from your blog that will filter on that tag.

If you manage an online forum... we can take a specific feed from you as long as you produce an RSS feed.

The same is true if you have a YouTube channel or a number of other social media. Simply tell us what you do and we can help.

For the things that we can't capture automatically we will use Delicious - the social bookmarking service. We'll be tagging anything that's interesting and hasn't already found its way in using the tag 'CrifCambs'. If you use Delicious, by all means join in - and help us to collect anything you think is useful.

How else to take part

We have a duty to ensure that all voices are able to make their views on CRIF clear - not just those that use the web. We're using online methods because they're cheap and allow us to grow the conversation quickly - but we will make sure they don't dominate it.

We will be doing our best to collect views by reporting on what is said at meetings and by allowing people to email and contact us in a variety of different ways. That will enable us to reflect these views in the conversation and ensure they are listened to.

You can email us at crif.cambs@gmail.com with any suggestions and views.
